Once fully charged, the battery duration for the console varies depending on model and on the software application and functions being used. craiglloyd I did an embarrassing amount of spudger prying pretty much everywhere along the top/bottom of the battery, I actually broke a few spudger tips in the process so that might reveal something about my approach… It’s important to note that the Nintendo Switch Lite won’t let you experience games on the big screen, though, as it's strictly a handheld-only device. You can’t detach the Joy-Con for some multiplayer fun or use motion controls, either, and its LCD screen won’t look as pleasing to the eye as the new OLED display. However, the Switch Lite is considerably cheaper and still a great way to play the latest Switch games. To do so, make sure your Switch is connected to the internet. Then head into System Settings and find the 'System' submenu. In here, select the 'System Update' option and wait for the console to reboot. The Nintendo Switch Lite is rated for three to seven hours, while the Switch OLED model gets the same four and a half to nine hours as the revised version. Unfortunately, the battery was much harder to remove than I expected. I did use a lot of isopropyl alcohol, but the adhesive they use really was giving me a lot of trouble. I should’ve wisened up and googled other adhesive removal methods or tried a new approach other than prying with the spudgers. Connect the original AC adapter to the system and then directly to a wall outlet (not to a power strip). If possible, try different wall outlets in different areas. The Nintendo Switch OLED looks almost identical to the original Switch console, with removable Joy-Con controllers, the same button layout, and the same Neon Blue and Red color scheme available – though it also has a classy White option. The biggest difference is the console’s punchy OLED screen, which is 7 inches compared to the original’s 6.2-inch display, with thinner bezels that give it a more modern look. After 12 or so seconds have passed, let go of the Power button, then press it one more time. This should reboot the Switch and turn the console on. If your console has turned on, try connecting the charger's USB-C port to the handheld again. Be wary of third-party chargers

The Switch Lite is rated for 3 to 7 hours of battery life — a little better than the OG Switch, but not quite as good as the up to 9 hours that the 2019 Nintendo Switch refresh promises. But if none of our steps have worked, then it may be the console itself that's at fault, which is where Nintendo's official repairs service can help you solve the problem. In most cases, automatic brightness should give you more battery life unless you manually keep brightness at low settings, such as when playing in a darkened room. 3.
