About this deal

The build quality is really good. Although you can unscrew the tailcap (nothing is glued) you are not supposed to do that. And even if you unscrew the tailcap, you won’t be able to insert a battery, because that can only be done from the front. The threads are very solid, and screwing the parts together feels really nice.. lol.. If you ever feel how titanium flashlights unscrew, you will love how smooth this one unscrews.

Measurement disclaimer: Testing flashlights is my hobby. I use hobbyist-level equipment for testing, including some I made myself. Try not to get buried in the details of manufacturer specifications versus measurements recorded here; A certain amount of difference (say, 10 or 15%) is perfectly reasonable. What’s Included Built like the proverbial tank, the ReyLight Pineapple Mini features a precision-machined lightweight aluminum body keeping your carry light but effective. The signature knurling on the body (inspired by the exterior of a pineapple) provides a firm and secure gripping area for enhanced handling. For reference, here’s a baseline shot, with all the room lights off and almost nothing hitting the sensor. Also, here’s the light with the worst PWM I could find. I’m adding multiple timescales, so it’ll be easier to compare to the test light. Unfortunately, the PWM on this light is so bad that it doesn’t even work with my normal scale, which is 50 microseconds (50us). 10ms. 5ms. 2ms. 1ms. 0.5ms. 0.2ms. In a display faster than 0.2ms or so, the on/off cycle is more than one screen, so it’d just (very incorrectly) look like a flat line. I wrote more about this Ultrafire WF-602C flashlight and explained a little about PWM too. User Interface and Operation e. 5 blinks: factory reset. Press the button during the five blinks or during the strobe after to reset the light to factory settings. Mini easy to carry】 Reylight build aviation-grade aluminum alloy, the overall length of only 89mm, diameter 15mm, small head easy to carry, occupy little space. Whether it is going out / work / night out and other occasions are suitable.

LED and Power

TITANIUM - STONEWASHED FRAGGED 519A 4000K (1) TITANIUM - STONEWASHED FRAGGED 519A 4000K (1 products) No need for a review as the base light has already had a few, just wanted to let fellow penlight enthusiasts know that the ReyLight Pineapple is now available in 2xAAA configuration. All of my readings were taken from a fully-charged Eneloop AA and Vapcell 10H 14500. Amps were measured with a Fluke 77III, at the tailcap. Press the button 8+ times. The light will now blink once, then strobe, blink twice, then strobe, blink three times, then strobe…After 5 blinks and a strobe, the sequence repeats.

Battery Compatibility】 The flashlight uses AAA/10440 two kinds of battery solutions, respectively, for different occasions, when using AAA lumens can reach 90 lumens, when using 10440 li-ion battery up to 240 lumens. The easy solution is to drop a spare AAA battery in your bag and call it a day — but it is worth noting how dramatic the drop is with a 10440 in capacity compared to the 14500. Forget about lumens, focus on run times. This doesn’t scratch that itch for me on this platform. In Use: UI and Carry When you start using the light, you’ll be surprised by the output. The mild orange peel on the reflector does a good job offering a nice all around beam shape — wide enough to walk with the light, but focused enough to get some throw out of it. It’s a good balance and I am a fan. Reylight even added a glow in the dark o-ring right at the lens, which is a nice add. It doesn’t glow very bright or for very long, but if you turn off the light and happen to fumble it while putting it away in the dark, you’ll likely see that glow to find it again. TITAMNIUM - SEIGAIHA STONEWASHED SMOOTH 519A 4000K (1) TITAMNIUM - SEIGAIHA STONEWASHED SMOOTH 519A 4000K (1 products) While I don’t have any issues with the LED, I do find that it’s mostly too cool for my tastes. I think it’s the right color temperature for a light of this size, and there are many worse options, so while I find it cool — I would struggle to suggest a better LED for a light like this. Too warm at low outputs from a small lens can really make it not perform well, and given that this is a daily carry light, it’s likely you will use it in daylight making this the right color temp to use. Now, more than 8 years later, Rey has his own lineup of flashlights, including the Reylight Pineapple Mini, which is available in several materials, including brass, titanium, and timascus. The one I’m reviewing is the stonewashed Titanium version.

The user interface actually has some programming features. Mode memory can be turned on or off (default is off, thankfully). There are a bunch of mode options, too.The ReyLight Pineapple Mini Seigaiha flashlight in titanium is another 10440/AAA light by Rey. This light features a neat wave pattern and uses one Nichia 519a. Because of that, Reylight flashlights are becoming collectibles over time. I presume that in about 5 years, many people are searching for a particular ‘Reylight’. Measurements were taken indoors at 5 meters with a professional Hagner E4-X Lux Meter. Battery type:

Left to right: Lumintop FWAA 14500, Prometheus Beta QR-v2 AAA, Pineapple Mini AAA/10440, SureFire Titan Plus AAA. I didn’t even bother to test the lowest 2 modes, but I assume they would run for many many hours. This is a specialty flashlight and designed for its appearance and not for the output. High mode drops to roughly 15-17 lumens within 1 minute. I wished for a longer output in high mode. Throw Measurement The clip has a nice open mouth and is overall finished very cleanly. The clip is not reversible, and as such, this light can’t be used on a hat. Certain waterproof function】Itself has a certain waterproof Function in the rain is also very good performance. The length makes it much better to hold, and you get the added bonus of a tail switch on the light (with a tritium slot). That’s a huge win for a small light — the weight and diameter is what typically makes or breaks a light for carry, not the length. So while it is long, it’s not too long.

Danke!

b. 2 blinks: mode memory on-off toggle (default off). Press the button during the two blinks or during the strobe after to turn mode memory on. Repeat to turn mode memory off.
