About this deal

We'd talked about a soother fairy before but this helped him picture her and picture how it was going to go. Turning off the personalised advertising setting won’t stop you from seeing Etsy ads, but it may make the ads you see less relevant or more repetitive. Did you know that she is tasked with collecting soothers from all around the world to give to the newborn Baby Fairies? I loved the “Dummy Garden” page where lots of different coloured Dummy Fairies work to wash various dummies in a giant dummy-shaped washing machine, and then peg them out to dry on a washing line; the clean dummies are then given to new babies.

There are some good things about this book but a lots of things I don't like about this book, some of them practical, some of them personal (and arguably subjective). After reading, parents can simply follow the book at home, and arrange an exciting visit from the Dummy Fairy, to the delight of their child. I really like the idea of encouraging the child to leave the dummy with the Dummy Fairy during the day - we tried a similar strategy with our little one: his dummy stayed on the bed with his comforter ‘Miss Ellie’ and apart from days when he was poorly or feeling a little clingy, we generally had no problem with this. Nice story so may help others and worth a try Nice book but we bought it in hope it would help my daughter giving up her dummy but it didn’t !I think this book is aimed at older children than I was expecting as the boy in the story looks school age. Our present for my son giving up his dummy was a sandpit, which one would struggle to fit in the Dummy Fairy's pocket – but perhaps she could have been perched on top of the gift. I’m not sure I liked the story plot and the flow of the story wasn’t quite as good as I was hoping for. Doctors also feel that some toddlers sucking a dummy have three times more ear infections than a non-dummy sucker. The first Dummy Fairy Letter explains that one of the baby dragons has lost his dummy and is very upset .

The boy in the story is in a "big bed" so my daughter was a bit confused about why he had a dummy at all as I'd been prepping her that she's getting too big for a dummy. Use Empathy during toddler meltdown Instead of trying to fix the situation just identify the feeling they have and mirror them back. On the day of, collect all dummies together with your child and place them in a special bag or container next to their little belle fairy house (www. My dear, I am afraid that I cannot guarantee that there will be no tears nor tantrums after the Dummy Fairy has been to visit. ADD On - A Dummy Fairy Reciept printed on hard card which you can fill out and add to your baby box along with their other memorable items such as their hospital wrist band or lock of hair. When your little one wakes, you can read the book again and then show them the Fairy Door, which only fairies can open, and show them the gift that the Dummy Fairy has left. The best time to wean from the dummy is when things are already going well with your toddler’s sleep and no major changes have been introduced to their life such as a new sibling or starting preschool. They passed it on to the baby dragon who was SO happy, his smile grew and grew until it was almost as long as his tail! It explains to the child in simple, colourful illustration what will happen to their dummy once the Dummy Fairy has taken it.
